Marie-Therese Phido has over 25 years experience working in Management Consulting, Sustainability, Business Development, Strategy, Sales & Marketing, Brand Management and Corporate Communication.
She worked for the foremost professional services firm in Nigeria, KPMG for over 20 years where she started her career and rose to the position of Associate Director and Head Sales & Markets for West Africa.
She then moved on to Deloitte as Director, West Africa Clients and Industries Leader (Partner level). Where her role involved coordinating business development and sales targeting for the region and working with teams and C-level executives across the region to actively secure medium to long-term financial growth and strategic goals for the firm.
She worked briefly on the Vice President’s and Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment Secretariat on Enabling Business Environment set up to work on enabling business entry reforms for Nigeria. Her role was to project manage the initiative.
She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Elevato – a consulting business focused on business growth, sales, marketing and human resources. She is the founder of Holler! a consumer review website (holleri.com) and Publisher of Boundless a thematic business magazine (boundless.ng).
She is a Columnist in ThisDay Newspaper, where she has a weekly business column “Elevating To The Next Level”. In her column, she writes on sales and marketing topics as well as issues to develop and grow business leaders. She is also an active blogger on her social media pages.
Marie-Therese has a Bachelor of Science in Linguistics from the University of Ilorin and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Lagos. She is an alumnus of the London Business School, Harvard Business School and the Lagos Business School, Rotmans School of Management, Toronto.
She is also a certified Project Management Practitioner from the Project Management Institute and a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and the Institute of Directors and a member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations. She has conducted several projects in strategy and go-to-market strategy, business growth, training sessions on sales & marketing, business development, business activation, branding, innovation and customer service, sustainability.
She was a member of the Technical Committee for the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and a facilitator and mentor for Fate Foundation.
Marie-Therese has a passion for Women Empowerment, and is involved in welfare initiatives to help women acquire skills and knowledge under the auspices of “Hannah’s Handmaiden” a Group she founded.
